Is it possible for religion to change dramatically without changing its doctrine?
This question is incredibly vague because it is attempting to encompass all different religions into one singular entity, which is rarely done. However, every religion is connected. So, when answering, please try your best to keep this singularity in mind. All thoughts and ideas about this are strongly encouraged so please divulge all that you feel necessary. Thinking about switching flex options, going 2 RBs, and making the TE a TE/WR. That or going to 3 WRs, remove flex from 2nd RB.

Say now you've got an electric guitar and an amp and you're using one set of strings... does changing them to another brand/type of strings while keeping all the settings the same really make that much of a difference?

What if instead of national teams, we have city teams from every country. There would then be a lot of teams from many nations. These teams can then play with each other. For example, Chennai Super Kings vs Melbourne Marauders, or something like that.
The international matches between national teams can be held only for important tournaments like ICC Champions trophy, World Cup, Asia Cup, etc.

Why do you have to disconnect the negative battery terminal when changing the back three spark plugs?
On an oldsmobile cutlass supreme (1989) why does it say to disconnect the negative battery terminal for the back three plugs? The side mounting battery terminals are difficult to access and none of my socket wrenches fit in that small space. I suspect this is one of those cases where some foolish person got an electric shock and then sued the manufacturer. I can't see why you couldn't just disconnect the positive terminal, but personally speaking, it never occurred to me to disconnect either when doing spark plugs. You should remove the car keys from the ignition before starting just to protect yourself. If the battery terminals are within range of the socket wrench, I would ensure they are covered as a precaution.

I started doing it as a young kid on my Yamaha DT50, then on my Kawasaki 100. I had the 1st bike for a year and the 2nd for 3 years and I never had a problem out of either one.

Have you ever change one alone? Would you be afraid if you had a blow out on the highway? I would and I know that I would call for help. Now a days you can get hit by a car or someone can grab you right off the side of the road.

Keep roadside flares in the trunk, get an automotive fire extinguisher, and keep it charged, or get a disposable and check it at every oil change. Get rid of the donut, and get a full sized spare.
and yes, keep a blanket, bottled water, and emergency food in there.

But now that information is useless (to me, anyways).
I always drive a newer car, (tune-ups not required till 100,000 miles, due to platinum tip spark plugs, %26amp; 'roter %26amp; condensor' obsolete)
New Fords come with free Roadside Assistance for 5 yrs,/60,000 miles, (change a flat, lock keys in car, towing, run out of gas, dead battery, etc) Just dial 1-800-241-FORD
The only time I've ever used them was for locking my keys in the car (stupid mistake, but I've done it a feew times in my life)
I live 4 miles from my job. %26amp; really don't travel too much further.
but I carry a cell phone, %26amp; I usually have water %26amp; an extra jacket in the car.
I work for an Auto Dealer so my oil changes %26amp; maintenance are cheap %26amp; convenient.
Although it's been over 25 years since I've had a %26quot;roadside emergency%26quot; (had a 'blow out' in the wee hours, in a construction zone, while driving home after a cross country vacation) I'm sure I could handle most situations that come my way.
Since i sell cars for a living, %26amp; many of the buyers are women, I have the opportunity to inform/educate my customers what to do in case of emergency.This one is easy!
Step 1 - call husband
step 2 - crawl into back seat with kids
step 3 - get out snacks and blankets (always have in car)
step 4 - pop in DVD
step 5 - watch video and eat snacks while waiting for hubby to arrive.
step 6 - kiss hubby when he arrives as we are now in good hands!!
Now if hubby is is out of town I push the onstar button and proceed with above directions. (no kiss for the AAA guy though).

I agree that the engineering job market is not as good as people make it out to be, but that's a discussion for another day. Personally I've stuck with it, but know there are other opportunities out there. As others mentioned you can always get your teaching certificate (many schools will allow you to teach while you're working on it) and teach high school math and science.
If you're willing to go back to school you can go back for your JD and become a patent lawyer. If you're still young med. school may not be out of the question, although you'd likely also need about one year of additional undergrad. coursework in organic chem. and biology. On the business side, you could always try to parlay your scientific knowledge into a job in sales or go back for an MBA and work in finance. You could also take some journalism courses and try to land a job as a technical writer or science journalist.

I chose network marketing because it's so easy and the rewards are great. Chose photography because I'm very good at it.You're right. Engineering career opportunities are very slim and look to be getting worse in the US. You could easily parlay your engineering degree into a teaching license by taking a few ed courses. Or, look for a job at a local technical college training your future indian and mexican replacements. If you're young, dynamic and have great grades from a prestigious school, go for Wall Street. They're looking for analytical types, but only the cream of the crop.

What do you think of the changing maturity of younger girls today?
When you look around, you see young girls dress in tiny shorts or mini skirts with shirts revealing plenty of skin. Is it just me or is this really happening. I look at these girls, and ask myself: Did I dress like that a couple of years ago? The age group I am focusing on is mainly 10-12 years. I want your opinions on what you think is influencing them, ranging from magazines to celebrities, and toys such as Bratz. This is for my Personal Interest Project (PIP) for my Society and Culture class. All opinions welcome!What do you think of the changing maturity of younger girls today?It's not just you, it's evident everywhere you go. I also agree with the other poster in terms of their level of maturity. People are getting adult bodies at an earlier age but their judgment and level of emotional maturity is actually far less than that of comparably aged kids forty years ago. There is a variable cornucopia of contributing factors but ultimately the fault lies with the parents. Children have always wanted to grow up faster than is prudent but I think todays parents are not telling their children %26quot;no%26quot; where yesterdays parents did.

1. The breakdown of the family - There are no longer strong role models and a secure, family structure where parents are working in accord and reinforcing the same rules and the same regulations. Parents who are divorced tend to be more focused on their own, individual lives than parents who are members of a nuclear family. They're worried about finding their own dates for the weekend, worried about finding love for themselves and worried about the fulfillment of dreams that were tossed to the wayside when they married and had children. This affords a great deal more freedom and a great less supervision to kids.
There is also the issue of guilt with some parents. The non custodial parent will sometimes feel that they don't get to spend enough time with their children and so when they do get to spend time with them, they let them do whatever they want to pacify them and avoid conflict.
2. Parents no longer want to be parents, they'd prefer to be friends. If only some parents could grasp the concept that their 12 year old doesn't need a 40 year old friend, they need a mother or a father, the world would be a better place.What do you think of the changing maturity of younger girls today?I honestly think it's a bit disgusting. Is it me, or is changing bedsheets backbreaking work?
I have just a twin bed set against a wall of the room, but to change its bedsheets, I have to lift the mattress up on its side, then tuck the fitted sheet around both inner corners. Then place the top sheet, blankets and comforter on top, and align them, and then lift the mattress up again in order to tuck all those in. Sure I've been doing this for a while now, but how do you people manage?Is it me, or is changing bedsheets backbreaking work?Sheets on twin size beds are pretty easy to change. Your description makes it sound horrible. The only twin beds that I have trouble with are the bunk beds that are jammed up against walls. Move the bed out from the wall far enough to get behind. (about 1 to 1 1/2 feet) Fitted sheets are great. Be sure to buy the ones with “deep” corners. This will give you lots of sheet to tuck in. I like to start at the top. Pull the sheet corners down over the mattress. Sheet should be tight with no wrinkles. You can lift the mattress slightly as needed. Then move to the bottom of the mattress and pull the corners down.

When I drop the triangle it forms a strait edge at the corner. You can add a blanket lining the top to about 6-8 inches lower than the sheet top and pull the top of the sheet over the blanket edge. Tuck in the bottom of the blanket at the bottom just like the sheet. Then you can tuck blanket/and or sheet along the edges. (Most people don’t do this step.) Other wise pull the sheet top back 6-8 inches. Add a bedspread or comforter if desired. Change pillow case(s) and add decorative pillows.
I rarely lift a mattress more than a few inches. Obviously I change my sheets and wash them, but I don't put them back on properly. I'm not in alignment with what my mother taught me I don't guess. I just don't see the point of taking the time to make a bed properly if I'm going to sleep on it in 16 hours and screw it up again. I can find better things to do with that 10 minutes... like read a book or answer weird questions on Yahoo! i have a kingsize waterbed, THATS backbreaking to change but i still do it twice a week, i LOVE clean beddingMy husband/I share this EVIL chore.. It goes pretty quickly that way..... I also wash the duvet covers and put them back on every 2 weeks....

I agree that the engineering job market is not as good as people make it out to be, but that's a discussion for another day. Personally I've stuck with it, but know there are other opportunities out there. As others mentioned you can always get your teaching certificate (many schools will allow you to teach while you're working on it) and teach high school math and science.
If you're willing to go back to school you can go back for your JD and become a patent lawyer. If you're still young med. school may not be out of the question, although you'd likely also need about one year of additional undergrad. coursework in organic chem. and biology. On the business side, you could always try to parlay your scientific knowledge into a job in sales or go back for an MBA and work in finance. You could also take some journalism courses and try to land a job as a technical writer or science journalist.

A really excellent resource for those considering non-traditional careers in science is Cynthia Robbins book %26quot;Alternative Careers in Science%26quot;. I chose network marketing because it's so easy and the rewards are great. Chose photography because I'm very good at it.You're right. Engineering career opportunities are very slim and look to be getting worse in the US. You could easily parlay your engineering degree into a teaching license by taking a few ed courses. Or, look for a job at a local technical college training your future indian and mexican replacements. If you're young, dynamic and have great grades from a prestigious school, go for Wall Street. They're looking for analytical types, but only the cream of the crop.

What software do you recommend for changing sounds I record on my computer?
So, if I record a song through Audacity, what program can I load that song onto, highlight a selected area, and then change the original sound? Example: I record a song using audacity and its just an organ sound, but I want to highlight the selected sound and convert it to a strings sound. They are just that.
What you need are samples. There are a lot of samples free or payed of various instruments that can be looped and mixed the way you want. That's how the pros do it with only some pros having equipment to produce their own samples.

What do you think of the changing maturity of younger girls today?
When you look around, you see young girls dress in tiny shorts or mini skirts with shirts revealing plenty of skin. Is it just me or is this really happening. I look at these girls, and ask myself: Did I dress like that a couple of years ago? The age group I am focusing on is mainly 10-12 years. I want your opinions on what you think is influencing them, ranging from magazines to celebrities, and toys such as Bratz. This is for my Personal Interest Project (PIP) for my Society and Culture class. All opinions welcome!What do you think of the changing maturity of younger girls today?It's not just you, it's evident everywhere you go. I also agree with the other poster in terms of their level of maturity. People are getting adult bodies at an earlier age but their judgment and level of emotional maturity is actually far less than that of comparably aged kids forty years ago. There is a variable cornucopia of contributing factors but ultimately the fault lies with the parents. Children have always wanted to grow up faster than is prudent but I think todays parents are not telling their children %26quot;no%26quot; where yesterdays parents did.
There are a number of reasons for this:
1. The breakdown of the family - There are no longer strong role models and a secure, family structure where parents are working in accord and reinforcing the same rules and the same regulations. Parents who are divorced tend to be more focused on their own, individual lives than parents who are members of a nuclear family. They're worried about finding their own dates for the weekend, worried about finding love for themselves and worried about the fulfillment of dreams that were tossed to the wayside when they married and had children. This affords a great deal more freedom and a great less supervision to kids.
There is also the issue of guilt with some parents. The non custodial parent will sometimes feel that they don't get to spend enough time with their children and so when they do get to spend time with them, they let them do whatever they want to pacify them and avoid conflict.
2. Parents no longer want to be parents, they'd prefer to be friends. If only some parents could grasp the concept that their 12 year old doesn't need a 40 year old friend, they need a mother or a father, the world would be a better place.What do you think of the changing maturity of younger girls today?I honestly think it's a bit disgusting. I don't think it has anything to do with maturity- if anything, it seems that kids are acting more childish than they seemed to a long time ago. Many clothing brands push the %26quot;sexy%26quot; label, so it's hard to find clothes that are age appropriate. I mean, shorts short enough to show your behind when you're 10? It's just ridiculous. And if the parents didn't buy these clothes for the kids, the company wouldn't make money, and they would stop making it. It's making me wonder why parents aren't enforcing any sort of dress rules.
Kids are smarter than you might think, so this might not all be from the media- they might just want to grow up fast, or appear attractive. Maybe they have a teenage sibling that dresses this way, and look and think, %26quot;Oh, well, if all the older kids are wearing this, I want to fit in with them.%26quot; Older kids usually = cooler to younger ones.
Also, depending on schools, 11 and 12 year olds are probably beginning middle school- a time when fitting in is crucial.
