It%26#039;s cheaper if you do it yourself but if you don%26#039;t know how then you probably want to get some one to show you or get it professionally done.|||Just so it gets done........|||It really depends on the person. I usually get the autozone, advance auto part oil chance specials which cost around $16.99+tax. Today i got 5 quarts of Penzoil and a Purolator Filter for that price. As far as savings goes you don%26#039;t really save that much. I get the satisfaction of knowing I put the right oil, the right amount, and didn%26#039;t use cheap products. It%26#039;s easier on SUV%26#039;s, Van%26#039;s etc. because of the height, but smaller cars you have to jack up or put on ramps. It all Comes down to you, in the end. You also have to take in account the used oil in the end. I have a disposal tank thing to hold the used oil, that I have to take back to the autoparts store to dispose of every few oil changes, that can be a pain.|||if you know how to do it, it really doesnt matter, they both come out to around the same price in the end, maybe a few bucks more to have it done.|||Dude, do it yourself. its cheap, easy, and you know for a fact that it was done right.
one instance of someone putting dirt in your oil will make you do itself from then on.|||do it yourself
even if you need to buy the tools to do it yourself you will still save money
you also make sure that it is done correctly because some places only care about how fast it gets done|||It all depends on the person. If you know how to do it, and you can easily do it at home then go right ahead and do it. I prefer to have my mechanic do it.
In the end the engine oil gets changed.
