How do you login to a windows xp account without changing the password?

Alright, so my friend has a problem. His mom put a password on his windows xp account. There is no guest account or secondary account. He doesn't have another computer or anything, so he can't download and rip any sort of software from the internet to a CD. Is there a way for him to log in without changing the password? How do you login to a windows xp account without changing the password?Simple answer? No.

If he can acquire a password reset CD from someone, then if he has the right amount of knowledge, he can change the PW to anything he wants. Of course, he could hose the computer completely, too.

Other than reinstalling Windows, there is password recovery disk that can be created by the user who made the password to begin with. But no one ever does that anymore.

Format it. That'll get rid of the password, along with everything else on the computer. Mommy probably wouldn't be too happy.
