I just wanted to know if you should stop putting your baby on the changing table for good or just make sure you're really careful (as usual) when he is on there after he learns how to roll over and such. Thanks! When should you stop putting your baby on a changing table? My son is 14 months old and I still change him mostly on the changing table. He has never minded it and has almost always laid still while I changed and dressed him.
One thing that has helped is to have handy a couple of toys that he really likes. We leave them on his table just for diaper changes. When should you stop putting your baby on a changing table?I put my kids on the changing table until they were out of diapers. When should you stop putting your baby on a changing table?always stay right next to your baby if they are on any elevated surface, you never know when he will learn to roll over or scoot off.My changing table has a strap. I started strapping her in when she started to roll, although I don't leave her alone. If my 5 month grows about six more inches, she will be too long for it, so I guess thenill keep using it until he gets to big for it.don't stop, just keep a hand on him at all times. unless he gets too heavy for you to lift.when it is outgrowing diapers!! hope this helps!!Wen they are too long for the table, lol. No really, if your baby starts to roll, then you just stay right by his/her side. You really should anyways to prevent any accidents. They do make some changing tables with a strap on them for when you are say grabbing the new diaper, or tossing the old one. That way hey cannot roll off. The easiest thing to do to prevent having to do this is to grab everything you think you will need...including the phone if its a temptation, lol, that way you can free up your hand in case the little guy decides to roll on the table. If you still don't feel safe, then Id go to the floor, it never hurts:)I never put my son on a changing table. As long as you use the straps and never leave them alone you can use the changing table as long as they're in diapers. Just be careful.According to my mother in law I should have been changing my baby in his crib since he was about a month old... he's 4 months now and still doesnt roll over. I figure I'll use the change table as long as he fits on it. Everything is right there and its the perfect height for me.There really is no magic age. Just make sure you always stay at the changing table. if you have to bend over to grab a diaper from a lower shelf or something, put your hand on your baby's belly to be sure they stay put--babies are fast! I usually start changing them on the floor once they won't hold still at all for changing--around the time they start walking. Special toys only for changing time, or singing songs can help keep your baby still for changes.my daughter's 8 mo %26amp; I still use her changing table but it is a freakin pain in the butt sometimes when all she wants to do is roll over or sit up!
sometimes when shes really squirmy wormy ill just do it on the floor to be certain she wont fall but I think you can use the changing table until they are out of diapers ( mine has a 40lb weight max-just make sure they arent over the recommended weight/length for your model)
