What does pregnancy and labor feel like?

like becoming bigger and bigger, other than the visible changes..what does it feel like, effect you over time.

What was labor like for you? Has anyone done it without drugs? I hear it is like a consistent heavy cramp that just gets worse and quicker. I am curious cause my cramps are .... unimaginably bad...for my period... I thought it was a different pain entirely..What does pregnancy and labor feel like?my pregnancy was aboslutely perfect! i had no problem's at all but my labour, wow.. the pain is nothing like period cramps, it hurt's badly.. no matter what you do you cannot get comfortable.. i did it with gas but that quickly wore off and also made me very sick!
What does pregnancy and labor feel like?
The duration of my pregnancy was.. welp, I could run around until I was about 30 weeks, then I had to slow down, because there was a basketball in my gut. It became unbearably annoying, being so movement limited, and I couldnt sleep on my stomach anymore after like 22wks, which I LOVED doing. At the end of the pregnancy I couldnt sleep at all, because it was just too heavy.

Labor was.. OH GOD THE PAIN. Yeah, I did it without drugs, and yeah its like the worst cramps you've ever had. Its more like someone taking a hammer and a pick and shoving it in your vagina and pounding on it.
What does pregnancy and labor feel like?
pregnancy is amazing and I enjoyed every part of it, until I got to about 36 weeks and then it just was uncomfortable and I couldnt sleep properly. Pregnancy is so joyful and i loved watching my belly get bigger and bigger %26amp; the feeling that a little bub is moving around was incrediable. I had my son two weeks ago and i gotta say the labour for me wasn't pleasant. I started getting cramps on the sunday morning but they were very irregular and by tuesday night I was up all night in labour. They were still very irregular so I didnt think it was the real thing, but my husband insisted that I ring the hospital and let them know what was happening. So wednesday morning we went in and the midwife was going to send me home because her experience told her I was in prelabour still. I asked for a internal exam in which they found I was already 7cm!! And because of that I wasn't able to have any drugs because I was to far along. It wasn't that bad until they broke my water and then the real pain began. Its insane the pain you feel, Im not going to lie, my lower back especially was killing me. However thinking back, its a bit of a blur and seriously once the baby is born, you forget all about it. My pain felt like an incrediably severe period pain and I just couldnt help but scream!!
labor would be the worst part of the entire experience..i had my son naturally not a single drug which now i look back on and i'm fine with it but with my second baby i will have an epidural and omg i felt everything it felt like my body was being ripped apart it hurt so bad and the recovery part was the worst so much blood i had to wear huge annoying pads my stomach hurt like if i'd been hit with a bat there i'd get sharp pains from my stomach down that hurt to where i couldn't move or even put fitted clothes on. my period sucked they were super heavy and long from then on my periods have always been heavier and long its embarrassing
Pregnancy: you feel heavy and stretched as you grow bigger but feeling your baby roll, kick and generally move around inside you is lovely and creates a big bond and attachment before you've even met him/her. You can get swollen hands and feet, increased pelvic pressure, joint pain, intense back pain and more colds than usual during pregnancy but most of these can be treated with exercise and painkillers.

Labour: Labour hurts. I know it's stating the obvious but it's the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. I did my labour naturally with no drugs at all. I was in labour for 12 hours and active labour for 4 and a half hours. It started with back pain where I held off taking pain killers and around four hours later I started having horribly bad contractions 2-3 minutes apart which ripped through my back and made it feel like someone was grabbing my spine, twisting it over and over while repeatedly shoving a knife into it. I didn't feel much pain in my front at all, I had it all in my back. The pain I did feel in my front was like waves of intense menstrual pain. You can't walk or talk through the pain by a certain point and it's difficult to breathe if you don't remember. Contractions come in waves getting their strongest at the peak and easing off lasting around 30 seconds to a minute each time. By the time you get to 10cm and are ready to push you're exhausted but know you have to. Pushing is incredibly difficult and there's so much pressure you feel like you're being split down the middle. The 'ring of fire' comes where you usually tear the perineum and the baby's out within two-three pushes in most cases. The pain goes away when the baby is in your arms.

Unless you have a diagnosed problem with your periods labour pain will be worse than your menstrual cramps. A lot worse.
