What are the effects of changing the coefficients on a cubic function?

How does changing a, b, c and d y = ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d affect how the graph looks??! for example with a sine function i know that a changes amplitude, b changes period etc..but what about a cubic one? thank you!What are the effects of changing the coefficients on a cubic function?Not to avoid your question, but a graph of a cubic equation is 3 dimensional, not flat like a squared one!
