How do you beat a traffic ticket, do you keep changing the court date so the officer?

doesn't show up. The original date he marked on your ticket was a date he knows he is available. I heard changing the court date a couple times will mess up his schedule and he won't show. You win. is that true? Just asking. (NO. This isn't for me. I haven't had a ticket in 8 years.)How do you beat a traffic ticket, do you keep changing the court date so the officer?Just do as Bruce W said and the guy who answered first at the top.

No the only way to beat a traffic ticket is to go to your local union office (one you belong to) and ask the president to call the local DAs office and tell him to drop the charges. If he paid his %26quot;donations %26quot; correctly it works every time.

Hey dont give me a thumbs down. It works for me every single time! I got out of a 95 in a 55 ticket by getting the union boss to make a call for me. I cant wait to try it on a DUI!

No, it's not true.
The court clerk keeps the court schedule, and notifies the officer when to show up for court.

If you have the power to convince the court to keep changing your hearing date, why worry about the ticket? You clearly have the court in your pocket.

Pffft.

It could be true. Go down to the courthouse the day of the court date on the ticket. Get there early. Either bring donuts or coffee for the prosecution. There will already be a million people there trying to do the same thing as you. You will see a million donut bags and coffee cups next to the prosecutor on his desk. Even without that. You want to be second or third in line, because there is a long line to see him before you go into court. He will look at your situation. This is call plea Bargaining. He will make you a deal. Like say, you pay the price of the ticket, but he will take off the points that will go to your license. Like downgrade your ticket from speeding to a non moving violation. Something like that. Good luck. Don't forget to be early. All those teenage knuckleheads will be there in line. You want to get ahead of those kids first because another reason is one of them could piss him off. That is why you want to be second or third, like I said earlier so you're not the first one to get blown up, in case he had a bad start in the morning before coming in to work. Good Luck.

To the lady right below me. She is right. Don't try to bribe anybody. But The prosecution is a lawyer who works there, it won't be the police officer there. Unless you plead to not guilty. So don't worry about that going to jail thing. But no one says you can't just be nice and make the prosecutor's day by bringing them a Hot beverage. There is no law against that. ;)
No, that most likely would not work. Police departments understand in addition to issuing citations, one of the principal functions of its officers is to testify in court. Therefore, the police department (and prosecutors) will work together to adjust the officer's schedule to accommodate the court appearance. If a defendant repeatedly changes the dates, the only thing it will do is irritate the officer, and possibly make the defendant a target for even more tickets in the future, from the officer who issued the first citation and every other officer in the department, who has heard about how much of a jerk the defendant is.

To the other poster: Trying to bribe an officer of the court with coffee and donuts is never a good idea. If anything, it may just add additional charges of bribery.
I think that would be a useless strategy. In any event it is downright devious and morally repugnant. I wish drives would cool their speed to save injuring and killing others.
%26quot;You%26quot; don't get to make or change the court date. The officer doesn't schedule the court dates for when he'll be available either. The courts set the court dates.
