Is changing path from mech engg to aviation a bad one?

i have done mech engg. i have passion for aviation. many around me discourage me from doing this. i am confused. help me. i want to do pilot or flight attendant (both options) after testing my health condn, whichever is possible. i love travelling %26amp; i want to pursue my passion plz give ur opinion. thank you.Is changing path from mech engg to aviation a bad one?I made the switch from civil engineering to aviation, and haven't regretted it since. If you really want to be a pilot instead, go for it.

An option to consider is double majoring. A lot of people at my university double major in aviation and usually business, or aero engineering. So you don't necessarily have to close the door on engineering.

Considering u want to be a pilot, are you top at physics, geography and math? Naturally you'll be great at Physics and Math but how about Geography? You need good navigational skills too. And how about your language?

If you want to be a flight attendant, customer relations is a must and another must is to be great at English or other languages

Dont wory and dont stand in cross roads. go ahead with ur option..Try in Aviation.u will succeed. try honestly and sincearly. All the Best for ur carrer.
After doing mechanical engineering going for flight attendant career does not make sense. However you may opt for the PPL followed by CPL from a good institute. There are two reasons for it - one - that you have already spent 4 years for engineering, these days these courses can be completed in short period of 6 months to one year, and two - that becoming a pilot is very rewarding financially as well as professionally.
Make sure you really want to fly. Take some lessons and see if you really want to be stuck in a cockpit several hours a day.
