Any ideas for representing the changing of Uranium to Plutonium in a nucleur reactor?

What happens is that Uranium %26quot;grabs%26quot; one of Plutonium's neutrons. How can I demonstrate this in a tangible manner? Thank you in advance. (:Any ideas for representing the changing of Uranium to Plutonium in a nucleur reactor?Uranium is element 92 and Plutonium 94. You'd need at least to capture an alpha particle but because there are multiple isotopes, describing the way you can produce Plutonium from lower Z elements can be fairly complicated. I assume you want to demonstrate theoretically.

Pick interesting isotopes, namely those that would exist in the sample, and see how natural decay releasing neutrons and alpha particles, can enrich some isotopes to become Plutonium. There isn't much more I can suggest.

G luck.
